Colchester United have won the race for the services of much-travelled striker Tony Thorpe. Thorpe has agreed a deal until the end of the season at Layer Road after leaving Swindon last month.
The 31-year-old Thorpe recently spent a trial spell at Wrexham before starting to train with Colchester.
Thorpe has scored more than 150 league and cup goals in a career which has included spells at Luton, Bristol City, Fulham and QPR.
