Brown said he was "embarrassed" at the 7-1 defeat by Queens
Clyde manager John Brown, whose team face relegation from the First Division, has hinted he might leave the club at the end of the season.
Speaking after the Bully Wee's 7-1 drubbing at Queen of the South left them adrift at the foot of the table, Brown said he was "embarrassed".
"I put the team out on the park so I am responsible," said Brown.
Asked if he feared being sacked, Brown said: "It might not come down to the board taking that decision."
Four points behind Airdrie United and with an inferior goal difference, Clyde have a home match against Dundee and an away tie at Dunfermline in which to save their First Division status.
Brown admitted: "It's a tough one now, two games to go. We had Gregory Tade out today and Tony Stevenson. That took a bit away defensively from us, but we've still got enough bodies there.
"We might not have been at full strength but we still had a strong enough side to give Queen of the South a good game and it never happened today and I hold my hands up to that.
"I'm responsible and the club will dictate my future after that result and Airdrie's win today.
"I'll hold my hands up, that's the team that I put out on the park. The bottom line is it's all down to the manager."
The former Dundee and Rangers defender was at a loss to explain the thrashing at Palmerston Park.
"It's not attitude. I can't fault the boys for that. We haven't come up to scratch this season," he said.
"To concede seven goals there, I'm totally embarrassed for the club.
"I don't give up. We've got two games to go. I'll see those out but I'm desperately disappointed with today.
"I didn't get the right reaction out of the players there so over the next couple of days I'll be thinking about that too."
