Lithgow made just one appearance for Hearts before his release

Clyde have signed central defender Alan Lithgow on a short-term deal after he was released by Hearts in the summer.

The 20-year-old, who made just one first-team appearance for the Edinburgh club, has signed a deal with the Bully Wee until 31 December.

Clyde manager John Brown said Lithgow had impressed him after spending a spell training with the club.

"We're happy to give him a chance to make an impression on the first-team," he told the club website.
