Chesterfield have signed Huddersfield defender Jack Hunt on a six-month loan.
The 19-year-old, a product of the Terriers' academy, has played three pre-season friendlies for John Sheridan's side this summer.
The Spireites have also agreed a short-term month-to-month deal with goalkeeper Shane Redmond, 21, following his release by Nottingham Forest.
But Chesterfield have confirmed they will not be offering a contract to trialist Sean Timmons.
