Madine has previously had loan spells at Coventry and Rochdale

Chesterfield have completed the signing of Carlisle United striker Gary Madine on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old could make his debut against Bury on Saturday.

Spireites manager John Sheridan told BBC Radio Sheffield he needed to sign a striker as Jack Lester is missing for over a month with a knee injury.

"I felt I needed cover. If I want balls going into the box I need people that are going to get on the end of them and he gives us that," he said.

Madine began his career as a trainee at Brunton Park and had a loan spell with Coventry earlier this season, he also went on loan to Rochdale last term.
