New signing Robert Page has been named Chesterfield captain.
Ex-Wales skipper Page, 33, became boss Lee Richardson's first summer signing when he moved to Saltergate from Huddersfield Town on a two-year deal.
Boss Lee Richardson said: "Rob has all the attributes to lead the team. He has great experience and has already been captain at the highest level."
Page has captained his former clubs, Watford, Sheffield United, Coventry City, and most recently Huddersfield.
He has 42 international caps and is approaching 500 career club appearances.
