 Ward has moved from Plainmoor to Saltergate on deadline day |
Chesterfield have made a double deadline day swoop for striker Jamie Ward and defender Sebastien Grimaldi. Northern Ireland Under-21 international Ward, 20, arrives from Torquay for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year contract.
Grimaldi, 27, signed from Belgian club Excelsior Mouscron on a free transfer after impressing in a reserve friendly.
Boss Roy McFarland told the Spireites' website: "I'm delighted, they add extra quality and competition to the squad."
The Gulls have extended their loan deal for Cardiff striker Jamal Easter by an extra month.
