Chesterfield striker Caleb Folan has had a cartilage operation on a recurring knee injury. The 23-year-old former Leeds forward is expected to be fully fit in time for the start of pre-season training.
Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland told the club website: "We sent Caleb to see a specialist because his knee kept on flaring up.
"The operation has been done quickly so he'll have time to recover and we hope to see the best of him next season."
