Four more Chesterfield players have agreed new deals with the club, following veteran striker Wayne Allison's new contract extension. Midfielder Derek Niven, 22, defender Gareth Davies, 23, and striker Adam Smith, 21, have all agreed new two-year deals at Saltergate.
Meanwhile, defender Steve Blatherwick, 32, has agreed a one-year deal.
Boss Roy McFarland told the Spireites' website: "All have done well, and all are important to our progress."
The quartet are expected to put pen to paper later this week.
