Niven has hit a rich vein of form for Chesterfield

The on-loan Bolton midfielder has signed for another month after an impressive run in the side.

"If it were possible, I would love Derek Niven to be at the club on a longer-term basis," manager Roy McFarland told the club's website.

"For the moment I'm pleased that Derek has decided to stay with us for a second month's loan and that Bolton have agreed that he can."

McNiven, 20, is yet to figure in the first-team at Bolton since joining the club from Raith Rovers.
