Chester City manager Simon Davies has praised his side for the resolve they showed in their 1-1 draw with Chesterfield at Saltergate on Saturday.

"We showed a great spirit," Davies told BBC Radio Merseyside. "The togetherness in the camp is really good.

"We deserved one point if not all three. We knew it was going to be tough but we kept going."

After a poor start to the season, City have now lost just one of their last eight games and are 17th in League Two.
