Chester City have completed the record signing of Kevin Ellison from Tranmere Rovers, reports BBC Radio Merseyside. The winger, 28, has agreed a three-year contract at the Deva Stadium for an undisclosed fee.
Ellison becomes new manager Bobby Williamson's third signing since taking over during the summer.
He previously played for Chester before joining Hull for �100,000 in January 2005. He started 40 games for Tranmere last season and scored four goals.
