Chester City have decided to release defender David Artell and midfielder Alex Meechan. City have also reached a settlement with striker Drewe Broughton to allow him to leave the Deva Stadium.
The ex-Peterborough and Southend man joined Chester last summer but spent much of the season on loan at Boston, scoring eight times in 26 games.
Meanwhile, Chester midfielder Lawrence Wilson, 20, has been offered a new contract until June 2009.
