Moore was released by Leeds following their relegation in May |
Striker Ian Moore is considering an offer from Chester City following his release by Leeds United, reports BBC Radio Merseyside. Birkenhead-born Moore began his career at Tranmere and is the son of current Rovers manager Ronnie Moore.
The 30-year-old was targeted by Huddersfield earlier in the summer, and is understood to have a number of other clubs chasing his signature.
He has promised to give Chester an answer early next week.
Moore has scored 92 goals in 475 senior appearances for Tranmere, Bradford, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Stockport, Burnley and Leeds.
Meanwhile, City boss Bobby Williamson is on the verge of signing an unnamed, experienced striker.
