 Westwood had an injury-hit spell at Northampton |
Chester City have continued their signing spree with the capture of former Northampton Town defender Ashley Westwood on a free transfer. The 29-year-old central defender becomes manager Mark Wright?s 14th new signing of the summer.
Westwood, who was out of contract this summer, joins after a three-year stay following spells at Crewe, Bradford and Sheffield Wednesday.
Chester are also pursuing Shrewsbury Town midfielder Jamie Tolley.
