A win will keep us up - Downing

Cheltenham Town manager Keith Downing is refusing to panic after Saturday's defeat at home to Walsall left the Robins four points clear of relegation.

"It's still four points, and now instead of four games, it's three," Downing told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"Gillingham have got to win two games out of that three because of their inferior goal difference.

"We've got to make sure we get that elusive one win and I think that one win will see us through."

Downing is adamant that Cheltenham must keep their fate in their own hands rather than relying on results elsewhere to preserve their League One status.

"All you can do is really analyse and work with your own team," he said.

"We've got a tough game against Crewe, everyone will look at that and say it's a must-win game, but there's still two more after that."
