Cheltenham Town have been rocked by the news that striker Damian Spencer could be out of action until mid-September. The 24-year-old sustained a knee injury during a pre-season game against KSV Hessen Kassel on 21 July.
Cheltenham boss John Ward told the club website: "Damian is a big handful for defenders and to not have him for the start of the season is disappointing.
"We don't know if the injury will need surgery but it is going to take some time to get right."
Spencer played all 61 games last season.
