Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has been ruled out for around two weeks after sustaining a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old suffered a minor tear to his left thigh during Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final at Blackburn.
The Ivory Coast international played all 120 minutes of the game at Ewood Park, which Blackburn won on penalties.
Kalou is set to miss Chelsea's Premier League matches against Manchester City and Everton and their Champions League group game against Apoel Nicosia.
He will also be doubtful for the Blues' home clash against Portsmouth on 12 December.
Kalou has made 16 appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring five goals.
