Inter Milan's Argentine international centre-half Nicolas Burdisso has denied reports he could be on his way to Chelsea as part of a swap deal.

It had been suggested the 28-year-old would be swapped with Ricardo Carvalho.

However, Burdisso told calciomercato.com: "I've spoken to Inter coach Jose Mourinho who said he's happy with me and I've much to give.

"Last season was positive for me and my wish is to remain here. I have no intention to change team."

Burdisso, who joined Inter from Boca Juniors in 2004, made 21 league appearances last season as the club won a fourth straight Italian league title.

Former Chelsea coach Mourinho has made no secret of his wish to be reunited with Portuguese international defender Carvalho at the San Siro.

Mourinho has also been linked to Blues midfielder Deco.

Earlier this month, Inter president Massimo Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport talks had started with Chelsea over both players.
