John Terry missed a penalty in last season's Champions League final
Chelsea captain John Terry has vowed to vanquish the disappointment of his penalty miss in last season's Champions League final during this campaign.
"Last year was obviously very disappointing with the Champions League," Terry told BBC London 94.9.
"That's a trophy I obviously want very badly and hopefully with the squad we've got here we've got a great chance of doing that."
The Champions League draw takes place on Thursday in Monaco.
Terry was speaking at a Chelsea community day where the club announced that they had raised 4.39 million for charities in the year 2006/07, a figure that represents 2.7% of the club's annual turnover of 190m.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said: "This demonstrates the depth of work that Chelsea is doing in the community."
Chelsea's football in the community schemes and facilities had more than 350,000 participations in London and the South East and captain John Terry said: "Four years ago we had a good look at giving more back and as a football club we're all doing that collectively."
"It's easy for a club like Chelsea to throw money, but it's the involvement we show after that I think is more important and efficient than the money."
