Mancienne signs new Chelsea deal

Mancienne made 30 appearances for QPR last season

Young Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has signed a new three-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 19-year-old centre-back is set to begin a season-long loan at Championship side QPR, having spent seven months at Loftus Road last term.

Mancienne has not yet made a senior appearance for Jose Mourinho's side, but the Portuguese coach is keen to keep him at the club.

QPR start the season at newly-promoted Bristol City on Saturday.
