Mourinho reveals Blues exit fears
Jose Mourinho
I love training with the club and I want to stay. But if I am not the manager with Chelsea then I want to take charge of another team.

Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has hinted he could be forced to leave Chelsea in the summer, despite masterminding their progress to the Champions League semi-finals.

Michael Essien fired a last-gasp winner to secure the Blues a 3-2 aggregate win over Valencia in Spain on Tuesday.

But Mourinho says it may not be enough to save his job, even though Chelsea remain on course for the quadruple.

"What I want is to remain in England with Chelsea, but sometimes in life you cannot get what you wish," he said.

"I love training with the club and I want to stay. But if I am not the manager with Chelsea then I want to take charge of another team."

Essien's 90th-minute strike completed a fantastic turn-around from the Blues, who had trailed in both legs before snatching victory.

And, having closed the gap at the top of the Premiership to three points behind Manchester United and with Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Blackburn on the horizon, the Carling Cup winners are on course for an unprecedented four major trophies in one season.

But Mourinho revealed he had to play his part with a half-time rollicking, with skipper John Terry admitting: "We got a good kick up the backside."

"It was not one of those hot ones," said Mourinho, "I was just telling them to be strong mentally and not think about losing or going out of the competition."

However, he insisted revenge would not be on his mind should Chelsea face Liverpool, as expected, in the next round.

"Revenge is not for me. Not in football and not in my life. But it's a tie we start from behind if we face them.

"Why? That's simple - Liverpool play only for the Champions League and Chelsea for this competition, the FA Cup and the Premiership."
