Terry injured his back in training earlier this month |
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expects John Terry to be fit to play against Wigan in the league on 13 January. Chelsea captain Terry, 26, underwent a successful operation just last Thursday to cure his troublesome back injury.
"This will be the last Premiership game Terry will miss," said Mourinho, ahead of Tuesday's game with Aston Villa.
The England defender is reportedly set to play in a behind-closed-doors friendly later this week as he continues his recovery.

Mourinho added: "Robben is the same and Petr Cech I think after Wigan will be back too, so the situation is improving for us."
Terry will also be aiming to be fully fit ahead of England's clash against Spain at Old Trafford on 7 February.
He has not played since going down with the calf problem that ruled him out of the 3-2 victory at Everton on 17 December.
Chelsea have conceded eight goals in four league matches without Terry and are seven points behind Premiership leaders Manchester United, but have a chance to close the gap at Aston Villa on Tuesday evening.
