Chelsea have been fined �10,000 and warned as to their future conduct by the Football Association. The Premiership champions were charged with failing to control their players in a 1-0 defeat at Fulham in March.
Didier Drogba's disallowed goal sparked angry scenes, and William Gallas was later sent off for the Blues.
Chelsea denied the charges and requested a personal hearing but the FA's disciplinary commission found them to be proven.
The catalyst was referee Mike Dean's decision to disallow Drogba's goal for handball after discussing the incident with his assistant following pressure from the Fulham players.
Events boiled over in the dying minutes when Gallas was dismissed for a wild challenge on Fulham's Heidar Helguson, with players from both teams getting involved.
As Gallas headed for the tunnel he made thumbs-down gestures to Fulham fans.
On the full-time whistle, Fulham fans invaded the pitch and police and stewards were required to restore order after several skirmishes between supporters on the pitch.
