Mourinho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2004 |
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said he will not be leaving the club to join Inter Milan at the end of the season. Mourinho has been linked with a summer move to Inter amid reports he has fallen out with chief executive Peter Kenyon and owner Roman Abramovich.
"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010 and I fully intend to see that
out," said Mourinho.
"There is no way I will be at Inter Milan next season. I promise you I will
be the Chelsea manager."
Under Mourinho, Chelsea are on course for his second Premiership title in two years since he joined the club from Porto in the summer of 2004.
And the manager added: "Soon we will hopefully be celebrating our second Premiership title and maybe if we can win the FA Cup too it will be Chelsea's greatest ever season.
"Chelsea is a great project for the future, as well as the present, and I
have spoken many times about being part of that project for years to come. Nothing has changed."
Kenyon was also keen to play down any speculation regarding Mourinho's future.
"Jose has a contract with Chelsea until 2010 and we as a club are totally
committed to that timetable," Kenyon told the club's website.
"Stories about him leaving and other managers coming are totally false."
