Kezman pondering Chelsea future
Mateja Kezman
Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman has suggested he may leave the club after voicing his frustration at his lack of first-team starts this season.

Kezman has endured a difficult first season in English football, scoring seven goals in 41 games although most of those were substitute appearances.

"I didn't come to London to walk the streets and spend money," Kezman told Belgrade's Vecernje Novosti newspaper.

"It turns out that I'm the victim of tactics - I didn't get a real chance."

The 26-year-old was a prolific goalscorer at previous club PSV Eindhoven but has found the Premiership a tougher environment, even though Chelsea ended their 50-year wait for the title.

Kezman recently suggested that any move could see him stay in the Premiership.

"It's nice to be part of the English atmosphere and to feel the spirit and maybe it will be more than just one season, we will see," he said.

"We need to talk about my future because I'm not happy, I cannot cope with it much longer."

Kezman, who has three years left on his contract at Chelsea, cost 7.5m when he arrived from Holland in the summer but reports have suggested the club will settle for a fee of around 2m.

Meanwhile, Bundesliga side Schalke 04 have indicated an interest in Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell - at the right price.

Forssell has struggled to find first-team football at Chelsea and has had successful loan spells at Birmingham and Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 24-year-old had to return to Chelsea from the second-season of his loan at Birmingham after a knee injury.

"If it is possible to finance the deal we have to think about a player such as Forssell," said Schalke sporting director Andreas Muller.
