Chelsea await Robben injury news
Chelsea's Arjen Robben receives treatment for his injury
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed Dutch winger Arjen Robben could miss the Carling Cup final after limping off injured in the 1-0 win at Blackburn.

Robben, who scored the winner, has a badly bruised foot and will undergo an X-ray once the swelling goes down.

Mourinho said: "It's a big injury and he might miss the Carling Cup final. But we do have other players.

"You could see what happened to him after he scored. He's special, maybe that's why they had to target him."

Chelsea went 11 points clear of Manchester United in the race for the title with victory at Ewood Park and Mourinho believes that should be enough to see them home.

"That's the biggest lead we've had so far. I can't see us throwing it away with our attitude," he added.

"We have showed that we are not worried about coming to the north and battling. The players spirit is magnificent and the fans are fantastic."

Mourinho also paid tribute to goalkeeper Petr Cech, who broke the Premiership record for longest time without conceding a goal, now standing at 781 minutes.

"Cech is fantastic, but it's not just about him or about John Terry, it's the way the whole team defends, we defend with everything we have.

"But Cech is magnificent and Carlo Cudicini is also guilty of that - Petr knows that if he sleeps Carlo is waiting for his chance."
