Chelsea have sealed an eight-year kit sponsorship deal with sports clothing manufacturer adidas. The contract, which begins on 1 July 2006, is expected to net about 12m per year for the Stamford Bridge club.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said the deal was great news for the club and would help him develop Chelsea's brand name overseas.
"We look forward to working with adidas, whose vision we share," he told Chelsea's website.
"We believe a global partnership with adidas will be a huge step in helping the club achieve its long term strategic goals.
"Together we can become a formidable team."
