Former Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu has had his seven-month Football Association ban extended worldwide. Mutu was sacked by Chelsea for gross misconduct after failing a drug test.
Fifa's disciplinary committee backed the FA's punishment and decided the ban will cover all domestic, international, friendly and official fixtures.
If Mutu wishes to contest the decision before the Fifa Appeal Committee he must announce his intention in writing within three days.
The 25-year-old Romania international is scheduled to resume playing next May, providing he undergoes a drug education and rehabilitation programme.
Dinamo Bucharest said Mutu wants to train with the Romanian side whilst serving his ban, and he has also been linked with Italian side Juventus.
