Cole sees himself in Mourinho's plans |
Carlton Cole has pledged his long-term allegiance to Chelsea but said his season focus lies with Aston Villa. Cole, who is on loan at Villa Park, said he must put thoughts of Chelsea to one side to develop as a player.
"I've got to forget about Chelsea and concentrate on Villa who are the main club for me at the moment," he said.
"If Chelsea still want me, I'll be a Chelsea player because Chelsea is always going to be my main priority. My heart will always be at Chelsea."
The striker, who has also played for Wolves and Charlton said the chance to gain more his first-team experience at Villa Park, will leave him in good stead for his Chelsea return.
"Villa have been top-drawer towards me and I want to score the goals they need. If I can score some goals it will help with my progress," he said.
"[Chelsea manager] Jose Mourinho sees me in his plans. I wouldn't mind going somewhere to settle down if Chelsea don't want me."
