Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has been ruled out for six weeks after breaking his wrist in training. The problem will not require surgery but is a new blow for the injury-hit England U21 international.
Kirkland only recently returned to the first team after breaking a finger against Bolton on Boxing Day.
In his absence, Jerzy Dudek is in line to return to the Reds starting line-up for the Premiership game against Southampton on Sunday.
