Chelsea who's who
John Terry scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final against Fulham
Terry is one of only three Englishmen in the side
Sports Talk: Chelsea for the Cup?

BBC Sport Online profiles FA Cup finalists Chelsea.

Carlo Cudicini
Goalkeeper
Age:29

The Italian has displaced Ed de Goey as Chelsea's number one goalkeeper. An effective shot-stopper who is not afraid to deal with crosses, Cudicini has been one of the reasons why Chelsea have reached the final.

Ed de Goey
Goalkeeper
Age: 35

The Dutchman was Chelsea's goalkeeper when the club last won the FA Cup in 2000. But he has been out of the side since November after he suffered a knee injury.

Mario Melchiot
Defender
Age: 25

Melchiot has been used on the right and centre of defence as well as in midfield. Versatility personified, but also not afraid to mix it, as evidenced during the Worthington Cup semi-final defeat at Spurs.

John Terry
Defender
Age: 21

The former England Under-21 captain has been one of Chelsea's most consistent players, despite his off-field problems. Terry can tackle and is also not afraid to bring the ball out of defence. He scored the winner against Fulham in the semi-final at Villa Park.

Marcel Desailly
Defender
Age: 33

The French captain has won so many trophies and medals - World Cups, European Championships, European Cups, Serie A titles - that he must have problems finding the space to store all his silverware. Desailly recently announced that he is thinking of retiring in 2004.

Graeme Le Saux
Defender
Age: 33

Le Saux missed the 2000 final through injury and a calf problem means he is also struggling to make this year's final. His suspect temperament has seen him ignored by England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson and Le Saux is unlikely to be going to the World Cup.

Celestine Babayaro
Defender
Age: 23

The Nigerian international played in the Chelsea team that beat Aston Villa 1-0 in the 2000 final. But fitness problems as well as international commitments have meant that he has featured irregularly this season.

Emmanuel Petit
Midfielder
Age: 31

The former Arsenal midfielder has still yet to show recapture the form he showed for the Highbury club since his return to England from Barcelona. Petit tasted FA Cup success with Arsenal back in 1998 and he remains an integral member of the France team.

Mario Stanic
Midfielder
Age: 30

After a difficult start interrupted by injury the Croatian international Stanic has provided more consistent performances on the right of the Chelsea midfield during this campaign. The former Parma player possesses quick feet and good vision.

Boudewijn Zenden
Midfielder
Age: 25

Excelled at judo as a youngster - Zenden had a black belt by the time he was 14 - the winger has yet to fulfill the early promise he showed at PSV Eindhoven. After his move to Barcelona did not work out, Chelsea have also yet to see the best of him. His season was badly disrupted by a nasty leg gash in January.

Jesper Gronkjaer
Midfielder
Age: 25

Another Chelsea player whose form has been badly interrupted by injury. The Dane, who is a key player for the Danish national team, has only just recovered from a knee problem, but when he is fit, Gronkjaer provides plenty of class from wide positions.

Chelsea's Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard
Midfielder
Age: 23

Like Terry, Frank Lampard has had his off-field problems this season, but he now has the chance to win his first ever trophy since moving across London from West Ham. The England international is more comfortable in a central midfield role.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
Forward
Age: 30

In the same class as Michael Owen, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Thierry Henry, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is deadly when it comes to finding the net. Helped by his partnership with Eidur Gudjohnsen, the Dutchman has scored 29 times for Chelsea this season.

Eidur Gudjohnsen
Forward
Age: 23

Gudjohnsen's almost telephatic relationship with Hasselbaink has seen him become an automatic choice for Claudio Ranieri. The Icelandic international has contributed 22 goals this season.

Gianfranco Zola
Forward
Age: 35

The only survivor from Chelsea's 1997 FA Cup-wining side, Zola is hunting his third winners' medal in this competition. He probably scored the best goal of the tournament this year - his sublime flick against Norwich in the third round replay at Stamford Bridge,

Chelsea's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Eidur Gudjohnsen
Arguably the most dangerous Premiership partnership

Mikael Forssell
Forward
Age: 21

The lanky Finnish striker has come off bench to score several important goals this season. He spent a large proportion of last season on loan at Crystal Palace.
