Mills and Sodje bolster Alan Pardew's defensive options |
Charlton Athletic have signed Danny Mills and Sam Sodje on loan. Mills joins from Manchester City until the end of December while Sodje signs from Reading on a season-long deal.
Sodje, 28, is currently suspended while Mills, 30, is now in his second spell with the Addicks after making 51 appearances between 1998-99.
"The reason we brought Danny Mills is we feel we are lacking a bit of organisation and at times, a bit of experience," said boss Alan Pardew.
"We also needed someone, I think, who is aware what this division is about."
Out-of-favour Mills has not played for City since 28 August last year, though he spent two months on loan at Championship side Hull later that season.
Sodje made his first appearance of the season in Reading's Carling Cup tie at Swansea on Tuesday.
But the 28-year-old was sent off after picking up two yellow cards and therefore cannot play for Charlton against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
