Holland has been at Charlton since June 2003 |
Charlton midfielder Matt Holland has played down speculation he could be in line for a loan move from The Valley. The 32-year-old was linked with a January move to Sheffield United, and Ipswich are also reportedly interested.
But Holland told BBC Sport: "I got a call telling me it was in the newspaper but I don't know anything about it.
"I've been in and around the first team this season so it's not like I'm out of the picture and hopefully I can do enough to win a more permanent role."
Holland has started three games under new boss Iain Dowie and has also come off the bench twice, most recently in the defeat at Aston Villa.

Since that reverse the Addicks have fallen to bottom spot in the Premiership following a loss at home to Arsenal.
And while the summer arrivals of Amdy Faye and Omar Pouso have increased competition in the heart of midfield, Holland is adamant he can play his part in helping the club climb the league.
"I had a decent pre-season and I've been pleased with my form so far," he added.
"My aim is to help Charlton push up the table and hopefully, whenever I get a chance, I can do enough to make the manager sit up and take notice."
The former Republic of Ireland international joined Charlton from Ipswich in the summer of 2003 and is two matches shy of his 100th Premiership appearance for the club.
