Curbishley is held in high regard at The Valley |
Charlton have commissioned a bust of Alan Curbishley in tribute to their former manager's 15-year reign. Local sculptor and Addicks fans Anthony Hawken will create the bronze Curbishley bust which will sit on a plinth outside the chairman's suite.
Chairman Richard Murray said: "This is a fitting way to recognise Alan's achievements. Alan did a wonderful job.
"This was recognised by our supporters when he was voted our greatest manager during our centenary celebrations."
Hawken also made the statue of Charlton's goalkeeping hero Sam Bartram, unveiled a year ago.
