Charlton boss Alan Curbishley said he will not be driven out the club by the boo boys, after his side suffered another poor end to the season. "I've been here 14 years and this is the first time I've had abuse from fans," he said after their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
"I have to take it. I haven't really reacted to it but it's part and parcel of the game now.
"I can't say I've enjoyed it but I have to take it on the chin."
The draw with Palace saw the Addicks end the season without a win in nine games.
Curbishley added: "If people want to ring phone-ins or show their displeasure, what can I do? The only thing is to get results and put in performances.
"I understand where they are coming from, we haven't performed as well as I would have liked but let's see what happens next season."
Curbishley feels he will know when the time is right to leave The Valley but is certain that time is not now despite their recent slump.
He said: "I have been saying consistently when people ask me about my future that at some stage someone will tell me it's time.
"It could be (chairman) Richard Murray it could be the fans or I could tell myself. But I don't think we're at that stage at the moment.
"I'm looking forward to the summer, having a break and bringing some new players in."
