South African defender Mark Fish has been given a free transfer by Charlton. Last season the 33-year-old defender made just six starts for the club due to a succession of injury problems.
Boss Alan Curbishley said: "Mark is looking for new pastures and we didn't want to stand in his way. We thank him and wish him well in the future."
Fish. who has also played for Lazio in Italy, made 109 appearances for Charlton, who paid Bolton �700,000 for the defender in October 2000.
