Celtic will wait until the end of the season to discuss a new contract with Neil Lennon - but the manager insists he has no concerns about his situation.

Lennon is currently on a six-month rolling deal after taking over at the end of last season.

And he said: "Everyone at Celtic is really at the moment just looking forward to the matches ahead as we try to build on our great result on Sunday.

"So there is absolutely no problem with my contract at the club."

Previous Celtic managers Tony Mowbray, Gordon Strachan and Martin O'Neill were on one-year rolling contracts and are all believed to have had higher earnings.

I actually have a rolling contract similar to previous Celtic managers

But Celtic sources stress that it is their normal practice to review contracts at the end of each season.

"There has been a lot said in the past few weeks about my contract, but I have to say myself and the board are entirely relaxed about this," Lennon told Celtic's website.

"My contract does not expire at the end of the season.

"I actually have a rolling contract similar to previous Celtic managers and I am sure, like previous managers and also other clubs, we will all sit down at some point and review the season and discuss the way ahead."

Celtic sit eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League after Sunday's 3-0 win over reigning champions Rangers.

Lennon's side have also reached the Co-operative Insurance Cup final, where they will also face Rangers.

In addition, the two Old Firm rivals are opponents in a forthcoming Scottish Cup fifth-round replay.
