Celtic manager Neil Lennon concedes he will have to sign another defender if the hamstring injury to Daniel Majstorovic turns out to be serious.

The Swede had to be replaced in the first half of the 1-0 win over Aberdeen which took his side five points clear at the Scottish Premier League summit.

"We'll have to wait and see how he is. He felt a tight hamstring so we hope it's not too serious," said Lennon.

"If it is, we will definitely have to add in that area."

Lennon was satisfied with the victory but would like the extra comfort a second goal would have provided for his players.

"I thought we controlled the game for the majority of it, but the longer the game goes on and it's 1-0, the fans get edgy and it permeates to the players," he told BBC Radio Scotland.

"Thankfully we saw it over the line - I wouldn't say comfortably - but I don't remember my keeper having a save to make.

"You always look for that second goal to give the players a bit of a cushion because they deserved it with the way they played.

"I'm delighted with Gary Hooper's contribution and Anthony Stokes took his goal brilliantly.

"We lacked a bit of cutting edge in the final third towards the end. Niall McGinn maybe could have scored and we had another couple of half-chances which probably we should have done better with, but overall I'm delighted with the team."

Hearts travel to Celtic Park on Wednesday and their defeat of title rivals Rangers in the early kick-was a welcome boost to Celtic.

"The Rangers result was a shot in the arm for the players before the game, but they still had to go out and do the business," he said.

"It gives us a little cushion at the top of the table. We've got Hearts coming here on Wednesday night and it can change again very quickly so we're not taking anything for granted. It's another win and another clean sheet.

"I think we can improve in all areas, but we're putting in a very good challenge this year which is pleasing me more than anything."
