Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld joins Copenhagen on loan
Hooiveld has not played since being taken off during a draw with Inverness
Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld has joined Copenhagen on loan until the summer.
The 27-year-old Dutchman has played only seven times for the Scottish Premier League leaders this term.
Hooiveld signed a three-and-half-year contract with Celtic after joining from Swedish outfit AIK Stockholm for about £2m in January 2010.
A statement on the website of the Glasgow club read: "Everyone at Celtic wishes Jos every success during his loan spell in Denmark."
He was signed by previous boss Tony Mowbray but made only two appearances last season after picking up an injury two games into his Celtic Park career.
And the Dutchman has not played since Celtic were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 27 November.
Hooiveld started his career with Heerenveen, spending a spell on loan to Zwolle, before joining Austrian outfit Kapfenberg after failing to become a first-team regular with the Dutch top-flight outfit.
However, after only eight months and 14 appearances, he moved on to Finnish club Inter Turku before joining AIK in April 2009.
Lennon this month secured Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson on a pre-contract agreement and remains hopeful of securing the central defender on a permanent transfer before the end of the January transfer window.
