Celtic interim manager Neil Lennon hopes his side's 4-0 victory against Motherwell can spur them on to a win against champions Rangers on Tuesday.

"It sets us up beautifully for the Rangers game, which is a huge game at any time of the season," said Lennon.

"They'll be coming here as champions, full of confidence with their chest puffed out.

"But all of our players are relishing the challenge ahead of them and I hope they finish the season on a high."

Four second-half goals gave Celtic a comfortable win at home going in to their penultimate match of the season when Rangers visit midweek.

Robbie Keane's injury-time strike capped off a productive afternoon after goals from Aiden McGeady, Darren O'Dea and debutant James Forrest gave Celtic a win against Craig Brown's side.

Lennon singled out the performances of McGeady, Forrest and club captain Scott Brown in the win and insisted the side were playing with much more belief than earlier in the season.

"In the second half, I asked them for a bit more in the final third," said Lennon. "McGeady got on the ball a lot more and was more productive.

"Scott Brown is playing out of his skin, but there were a lot of good performances.

"The boys who came in all contributed. I was really pleased with them, and the quality we had on the bench - for young James Forrest to come on and score in his debut was immense for him.

"He's a great kid and I have high hopes for him. I don't want to get too carried away, but he's a talent."
