Marc-Antoine Fortune is still Celtic's first choice
Fortune has partnered a variety of strikers in Celtic's attack this term
Tony Mowbray says Marc-Antoine Fortune remains top of his list of strikers, despite Robbie Keane's arrival.
Fortune has scored eight times for the Glasgow side so far this season.
"Marc is at the front of the queue as far as I'm concerned. His performances over the last six weeks have been outstanding," said the Celtic manager.
"Everybody prejudged him on his role, but I always judged him over performance over 90 minutes, week in, week out."
As well as Keane, Celtic signed Morten Rasmussen and Diomansy Kamara during the January transfer window, while Scott McDonald left to join Middlesbrough.
Fortune 'top of the queue' for Mowbray
Fortune, who joined from Nancy in a £3.8m deal last summer, did not feature in Sunday's Scottish Cup win over Dunfermline and winger Aiden McGeady was left on the bench.
And Mowbray said of the French forward: "In my mind, he is right up there with every other striker we have at the football club.
"He has played a lot of football, as has Aiden McGeady.
"Both have had a lot of minutes on the football pitch and sometimes you want to change it about and freshen it up and so you utilise options if you've got them.
"I need to decide what the best formation is and who are the best individuals to play each game."
