Celtic defender Gary Caldwell labelled the Fir Park pitch "terrible" following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Motherwell.
The surface has come in for criticism this season and Motherwell will be fined 20,000 by the SPL if another home game is postponed.
"It's shocking to think a game like that is live on TV," Caldwell said.
"People aren't getting value for money. For the players it's very frustrating. We want to play in an attractive way and we can't do that."
Motherwell were handed the suspended fine by the SPL after under-soil heating problems led to the postponement of their match against Hearts on 7 December.
Following the call-off, Motherwell employed a hot-air dome to thaw out their playing surface.
But the pitch has deteriorated rapidly since then, with the surface badly rutted and bare in patches.
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan praised his players for their display at Fir Park.
"We actually shouldn't have played the football we did on a pitch like that," he said.
"I thought we played some tremendous football on a pitch that wasn't conducive to good football."
