Midfielder Massimo Donati has added to Celtic's lengthy injury list after breaking a toe in training.
The Italian will miss Saturday's visit to St Mirren and must be a fitness doubt for Tuesday's Champions League visit to Aalborg.
Marc Crosas and Aiden McGeady have missed a number of games through injury and Paul Hartley picked up an ankle knock on Scotland duty.
Barry Robson pulled out of the Scotland squad but should be fine for Saturday.
A groin complaint forced Robson to withdraw ahead of Wednesday's clash with Argentina but he is back training with Gordon Strachan's side.
Goalkeeper Artur Boruc is recovering well from knee surgery and has a chance of playing at Love Street.
However, Dutch international striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink remains out with a groin injury picked up in mid-October.
Greek striker Georgios Samaras has only recently returned from a spell on the sidelines, while Glenn Loovens and Shunsuke Nakamura have had their injury problems.
Despite their depleted ranks, the defending Premier League champions have opened up a four point gap in the title race and captain Stephen McManus has been impressed by his team-mates.
"If we had three or four players injured in previous years then they would be badly missed," said McManus.
"But it just shows you how strong the squad is that it doesn't matter who you are, you are not going to be missed because there is a good player coming in.
