Crosas played in pre-season friendlies against Dundee United and Hibernian
Celtic are close to completing a deal to sign 20-year-old Barcelona midfielder Marc Crosas.
But reports that a 2m fee has already been agreed between the clubs appear to be premature.
Agent Angel Castell told BBC Sport: "As of close of business on Friday, a deal was not done and I have had no confirmation since from Barcelona.
"Barcelona were thinking of a loan, but the player is keen on a transfer and is waiting to fly to Glasgow."
Castell believes that there are only a few small details still to be agreed between the clubs, which will disappoint Crosas' other suitors - Sevilla, Sporting Gijon and Sampdoria.
But he stressed that the player had yet to discuss personal terms with Celtic, from whom the player would be hoping for a deal lasting at least three years.
Crosas, a defensive midfielder who played for Barca in pre-season friendly victories over Dundee United and Hibernian, made his first-team debut for Barcelona two seasons ago but has only made one appearance since.
He went on loan to Olympique Lyonnais in January and played eight times for the French champions before the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the Glasgow club have dismissed reports that they are interested in taking another 20-year-old Barcelona midfielder, Jeffren Suarez, on loan.
Reported interest in Lens full-back Nadir Belhadj, Southampton winger Nathan Dyer and Aston Villa's former Celtic forward, Shaun Maloney, has also been played down.
