Celtic defender Steven Pressley says he wants to a pursue a player/coach role next season.
The 34-year-old is approaching the end of his Parkhead contract and may not continue his career in Scotland.
He said: "I would consider a player/coach's role. My main priority is to continue to play and I would like to try something a bit different.
"I've played 15 years in the SPL and it's a long time. A bit of freshness would do me the world of good."
Pressley, who is currently part of the Scotland coaching set-up, began his career with Rangers before moving to Coventry City in 1994.
The defender returned to Scotland with Dundee United a year later and began a seven-and-a-half-year spell with Hearts in 1998, winning Scottish Cup winners' medal in 2006.
After a much-publicised fall-out with Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov, Pressley moved to Celtic in January midway through the 2006/07 season and helped Gordon Strachan's side clinch the league and cup double.
However, 32-time capped Pressley found first opportunities limited last season as Celtic retained the title.
"I'm very open-minded about my future," he added
"It's the first time in my career that I've come to a summer with no idea of what my future holds.
