Gordon Strachan said his side were poor in front of goal
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was happy with the result if not the performance after the 1-0 victory over Aberdeen took Celtic top of the SPL.
"I thought we were going score every time we went up the pitch but we didn't have our finishing boots on today," Strachan told BBC Sport.
"Our final pass at time left a lot to be desired.
"Aberdeen were comfortable defensively. There was a lot of good stuff in the second half, but we couldn't finish."
Strachan said Andreas Hinkel was substituted against the Dons after he suffered a hamstring strain.
The Celtic manager was delighted with his replacement Paul Caddis and said the full-back set the tone for the second half with his first touch.
"Obviously, he'd been sitting listening to me moaning in the first half about how we should be passing and thought 'I better go and play where the gaffer wants'.
