Tommy Burns said Celtic are indebted to Shunsuke Nakamura after the Japanese midfielder scored an 87th-minute winner against St Mirren at Love Street. Nakamura netted a late free-kick to give Celtic a 1-0 victory against the buddies and Burns said the club is lucky to have such a talent.
"It's what Nakamura has that makes him different from everyone else," Burns told BBC Scotland.
"He's as good a threat as anyone in the world, and we're lucky to have him."
Burns played down the controversy surrounding the foul by St Mirren's Gary Mason on Nakamura, although admitted that St Mirren will feel as though they deserved a point from the match.
"I never got a right good look at it but at the time it seemed to me to be a foul," said Burns.
"Nakamura cleverly cut across him and doing that you will always get the benefit of the doubt, as a forward.
"If I was at St Mirren I would probably be aggrieved as well but these things sometimes go for you or against you.
"We were very pleased with the result and at this stage it is all about winning points.
"It wasn't easy on the eye but it won't be anything that will concern anyone if we manage to win the league."
