Artur Boruc is a doubt for the Shakhtar game |
Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc is doubtful for the Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk after pulling out of Saturday's 3-0 win over Aberdeen. Boruc was replaced with Mark Brown after feeling pain during the warm-up.
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan told the club website: "He had a problem with his toes while in Poland. He has picked up a fungal infection or something.
"We'll monitor the injury and we'll see if he can train tomorrow, with a view to being fit for Wednesday's game."
Deputy Brown had a comfortable afternoon as Celtic strolled to victory.

"Brown didn't have much to do, but I felt he was all right," said Strachan.
"His kicking was good, he was confident when the ball was rolled back to him, so we were pleased with that."
A viral infection ruled out Paul Hartley and Massimo Donati took his place.
"I took one look at him this morning and sent him back," Strachan said.
"But hopefully that will be a couple of days' time.
"There has been one or two people picked it up recently."
The Celtic boss was delighted with the players who did play and hailed Scott Brown for a dynamic midfield display.
"They were terrific from the first couple of minutes to the last couple of minutes," Strachan said.
"Absolutely terrific, they should be proud of themselves."
