Strachan said his side failed to take their chances |
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was left to rue missed chances after a bruising 3-0 Old Firm defeat at Ibrox. Captain Stephen McManus was carried off after a clash of heads with Daniel Cousin and is doubtful for Wednesday's Champions League game against Benfica.
"The better team won. We had a few chances but it's a surprising game because Artur Boruc has not made a save," said Strachan.
"We did make chances but didn't take them. They made chances and took them."
Strachan said he was hopeful McManus would recover in time to face Benfica.
"That was a problem at half-time, when he was in the dressing room and we were worried about Stephen, really concerned.
"The fact is that he's regained consciousness, so I was going to pop in and see him, but it's a waste of time just now because he'll be having a lot of tests at the moment.
"We keep our fingers crossed that Stephen's going to be fine."
